Great start to the year with a blustery couple of Perisher races. The wind was essentially west but quite shifty and hovering around 20kts with a strong ebb. Roger Hakes made a good start to defending his title with a 2nd and 1st. Blistering performance also from Pete Norman with a 1st and a 2nd. Chris Gi was 3rd in both races, though with the wind drifting slowly south being gate boat for the second race didn’t do him any favours.
Lots of hard work done by the race officers Jon Keats and Phil Merrel who were kept busy by the numerous swims at the back end of the fleet.
