From the pen of Pete Taylor:
Bright winter sunshine helped to take the the edge off the light NW breeze today.
The beats proved tricky to read with large oscillations. Mike took full advantage of the shifts to win race one and Roberta claimed a solid second place. Gate boat George was third, promoting Stuart who finished fourth to act as gate for the next race.
The course was reset by 45 degrees before the start of race two, confusing Stuart & Gary who emerged in the lead and put in a downwind sprint before a few, (late) & urgent toots on the horn altered all to the position of the newly reset gybe mark.
Roberta aced the next beat and climbed through into the lead, a position she was able to keep for the next few rounds. Stuart took second place, but it was a photo finish for third as Gary pipped George on the line.
